Welcome to UPFC
The University of Portsmouth Fencing Club is associate to the British Fencing Association and aims to provide coaching, match experience and other support to all members. Anyone who is a member of the University of Portsmouth and/ or UPSU can join.
We have BFA qualified coaches who will teach the basics to get you started and help to develop your skills towards attaining your own BFA recognised fencing achievement awards.
On the more social side of things, we usually finish off sessions in the Wig and Pen for a few drinks. We also have a couple of social secs who arrange all of our other social events, including ice skating, Christmas dinner, and Leon Paul Factory visits.
Important Information
Christmas Dinner - those of you who paid deposits to Rhiannon should have already paid the outstanding £16.95. Those of you who paid deposits to Tiger Tiger, it is up to you to bring the remaining £16.95 on the night - this Sunday, 7th December

Training sessions now on:
- Tuesday's, 1900-2100, Lux @ the Union
- Wednesday's, 2000-2200, Main Hall @ St Luke's
- Friday's, 2000-2200, Studio 1 @ Nuffield
If you would like some extra training you can go to Portsmouth and Southsea Fencing Club. They meet every Monday, 2000-2200. Sessions are £3 per each (£4/ session or £10/ month from Jan 2009) and take place at St Luke's. One to one tuition is also available on request. Please ask at a UPFC training session for more details.
